What I’m Addicted To This Week: Canva

Kristyn Hanbidge #DCommAddicts

This past month, we have discovered a simple and effective tool for all of our design needs. What is it? The answer is Canva – and it’s our latest office addiction!

At Durrell Comm we are constantly trying to find new ways to help our clients stand out online. More and more we are turning to infographics and designed imagery for social media, blog posts, pitch decks and more. This can be quite a challenge without the help of an Adobe suite.

We discovered Canva just a few weeks ago while putting together an infographic and since then, it has been a lifesaver.

One of our favourite Angel companies, GTAN, wanted to find a visual way to present their 5-year statistics. It was clear that Canva was a great solution and we are thrilled with the results.

Canva is an extremely user-friendly online design platform that was created to help users design posters, infographics, multiple page presentations, and social media images, just to name a few!

Canva’s “drag and drop” technology has an array of free design options at your disposal. For small businesses on a budget, this program is a simple and cost effective alternative to the Photoshop suite. We found it was simple enough for anyone on our team, even without have any prior design knowledge.
